WhatsApp Business API

WhatsApp Business API Integration for Orders, Alerts and Customer Chat

For most Indian customers, WhatsApp is where they actually read messages. The WhatsApp Business app on a phone is fine for a small shop, but it breaks down when you need to send order updates automatically, let several staff reply from one number, or connect chats to your CRM, billing or e-commerce system. That is what the WhatsApp Business API is for.

We connect the API to your software. Order confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates, payment links and reminders go out automatically as approved template messages. Customers can browse your catalogue, place orders and ask questions, with a chatbot handling routine replies and handing over to a person when needed. Every conversation is linked to the right customer record.

You can use Meta's Cloud API directly, or an official Business Solution Provider (BSP) such as Gupshup, Interakt, AiSensy, WATI or Twilio if you want their inbox and dashboards. We are not a BSP and do not resell messages. Meta's message charges are billed to you by Meta or your BSP at their actual rates, and our fee is only for the integration work.

Who it's for

Who WhatsApp Business API is for

Online stores and D2C brands

Shopify, WooCommerce or custom stores that want order, shipping and COD confirmation messages on WhatsApp, plus abandoned-cart reminders for customers who opted in.

Service businesses with bookings

Clinics, salons, coaching centres and service companies sending appointment confirmations, reminders and follow-ups, and letting customers reschedule by reply.

Distributors, manufacturers and B2B sellers

Businesses sending invoices, payment reminders, dispatch details and statements to dealers and customers from their ERP, Tally-based system or custom software.

Teams sharing one WhatsApp number

Sales or support teams where several people need to reply from one business number, with chats assigned, tagged and visible to managers.

What you get

Features we build

Account and number setup

We help you set up Meta Business Manager, business verification, the WhatsApp Business Account, your display name and phone number, and explain what happens to any existing WhatsApp app on that number.

Template messages

We write and submit templates for order updates, payment reminders, OTPs and offers in the right Meta category, with variables, buttons and media, and adjust them if Meta rejects one.

Automatic notifications from your system

Your store, CRM, ERP or billing software triggers messages on events such as order placed, shipped, invoice raised or payment overdue. Delivery and read status flow back into the record.

Catalogue and ordering

Products synced to a WhatsApp catalogue from your store or inventory, so customers can browse, add to cart and send an order in the chat, then pay through a Razorpay or other payment link.

Chatbot with human handoff

Menu-based or AI-assisted replies for order status, prices, timings and FAQs, with a clear option to talk to a person. The chat is then assigned to the right staff member with the history attached.

Team inbox

A shared inbox, either your BSP's or a custom one inside your CRM, where agents see assigned chats, use quick replies, add notes and hand chats over. Managers see response times.

Opt-in and compliance

Opt-in collection on your website, checkout and forms, opt-out handling, and message frequency limits, so you follow WhatsApp's policies and protect your number's quality rating.

Reports and costs

Messages sent, delivered, read and replied by template and campaign, plus an estimate of Meta charges by category, so you can see what each type of message costs and returns.

How we work

From first call to launch

  1. 01

    Use cases and route

We list the messages you want to send and receive, then recommend Cloud API directly or a BSP based on your volume, team size and budget.

  2. 02

    Setup and approvals

We set up or connect your Meta business account and number, and submit your first templates for approval while development starts.

  3. 03

    Integrate

We connect your store, CRM or ERP to the API through webhooks, map events to templates, and build any chatbot flows or inbox features in scope.

  4. 04

    Test with real phones

We test every template, button, catalogue and handoff path on real phones, including failures such as blocked numbers and expired sessions.

  5. 05

    Go live and monitor

We switch on live sending gradually, watch delivery rates and your quality rating, and tune templates or timing in the first weeks.

Why RED SAG

Why teams choose us

No markup on messages

We charge for the integration work only. Message fees go straight from Meta or your BSP to you, so you always see the real cost per message.

Neutral on providers

We are not tied to any BSP. If Cloud API directly is cheaper for you, we say so. If a BSP's inbox saves your team time, we recommend that instead.

We connect it to real systems

Sending a template is easy. The value comes from wiring it to your orders, invoices and customer records, which is the software work we do every day.

Careful with your number

We set up opt-ins, sensible frequency and clear templates, because a flood of unwanted messages can lower your quality rating and limit how many people you can message.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is WhatsApp Business API pricing in India?

There are two separate costs. First, Meta charges for messages. Business-initiated template messages are charged per message, at a rate that depends on the category (marketing, utility or authentication) and the customer's country, and replies to customers within the 24-hour customer service window are currently free. Meta revises these rates and rules from time to time, so check Meta's current rate card or your BSP's price list. Second, BSPs may charge a monthly platform fee. Our integration work is a one-time cost from ₹20,000.

Do we need a BSP, or can we use Meta's Cloud API directly?

You can use Meta's Cloud API directly, with no BSP in between, and pay Meta only for messages. This suits businesses that want messages sent from their own software. A BSP adds a ready-made inbox, campaign tools and support, usually for a monthly fee. We help you choose and can work with either.

Can we keep using our existing WhatsApp number?

Usually yes, but moving a number to the API has consequences. Traditionally a number on the API could not also be used in the normal WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, and chat history on the phone does not move across. Meta has started allowing some numbers to use the Business app and API together. We check what applies to your number before switching anything.

Can we send promotional messages to anyone?

No. WhatsApp requires customers to have opted in to receive messages from you, and marketing templates must follow its commerce and messaging policies. Sending unwanted messages leads to blocks and reports, which lowers your quality rating and can limit your sending. We set up proper opt-in and help you plan sensible campaigns.

Can the WhatsApp API work with Shopify, WooCommerce or Tally?

Yes. For Shopify and WooCommerce, we connect order and fulfilment events to templates, either through a custom integration or a suitable app. For Tally-based businesses, a direct Tally API integration is possible where Tally's XML interface can be reached from the office network; otherwise we connect through your billing or ERP software, or a small service that reads invoices and outstanding amounts and sends reminders.

Do you build WhatsApp chatbots too?

Yes. Simple menu bots for order status and FAQs are part of the middle package here. For AI chatbots that answer from your documents and hold a proper conversation, see our AI chatbot development page, which goes into that in depth.

Does a green tick come with the API?

No, it is not automatic. Meta decides on verified badges and business verification under its own programmes and criteria, which change over time. We can help you prepare an application, but nobody can guarantee a badge.
