RED SAG offers custom accounting software development for businesses whose finance work has outgrown spreadsheets but does not fit neatly into a standard package. Most of our clients do not want to replace their accountant's tool. They want the operational side automated: invoices raised from orders or timesheets, payments matched to bank lines, and clean entries pushed into Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Xero. That keeps your books where your CA or bookkeeper expects them, while your team stops re-typing numbers.

Our experience includes Tafsee, a cloud accounting platform we built, so ledgers, trial balances and period locking are familiar ground. We are a custom software development company in India, based in Tiruppur, and our custom software development services go beyond finance, so the same team can build the order, stock or payroll parts your accounting system needs to connect to.

What you get

Features we build

Invoicing and GST e-invoicing

Quotes, proforma invoices, tax invoices, credit and debit notes with your numbering series. For Indian businesses above the e-invoicing threshold, we generate IRNs and signed QR codes through the IRP via a GST Suvidha Provider, and e-way bills where needed.

Multi-currency billing

Invoice clients in USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD or INR, record exchange rates at invoice and receipt, and track realised and unrealised gains. Export invoices can carry LUT details and zero-rated GST treatment.

Bank reconciliation

Import bank statements or pull them through bank APIs where available, then auto-match receipts and payments by amount, reference and date rules. Unmatched items land in a review queue instead of hiding in a spreadsheet.

Receivables, payables and reminders

Ageing reports, customer statements, automatic payment reminders by email or WhatsApp, and payment links through Razorpay or Stripe. Vendor bills can follow approval rules before they are cleared for payment.

Double-entry core and reports

A proper ledger with journals, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, cost centres and period locking. Reports are built on the same entries, so figures always agree with each other.

Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks and Xero integration

Push vouchers into Tally through XML import or connector tools, and sync invoices, contacts and payments with Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online or Xero through their official APIs. Mapping screens let your accountant control which ledgers are used.

ERP-lite modules

Add only the operational pieces you need: purchase orders, inventory, simple payroll inputs, project costing or expense claims with receipt capture. Each module posts correct accounting entries automatically.

How we work

From first call to launch

  1. 01

    Finance process review

We sit with your accountant and operations staff to trace how a sale or expense moves from start to books, and where errors or delays creep in.

  2. 02

Scope, chart of accounts and quote

We agree the modules, integrations, ledger mapping and reports, then send a fixed-price quote with milestones.

  3. 03

    Iterative build

Modules are delivered one at a time on a test environment, using sample data from your real transactions so your team can check the numbers.

  4. 04

    Data migration and parallel run

Opening balances, open invoices and masters are imported, and the new system runs alongside the old process for a month-end close before full switch-over.

  5. 05

    Go-live and ongoing care

We launch, train users, and offer support plans that cover tax rule updates, integration changes and new reports.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does custom accounting software development cost?

A focused integration, such as pushing invoices from your system into Tally or Xero, typically costs ₹60,000–1.75 lakh (about $900–2,700). A custom invoicing and receivables system usually runs ₹1.75–4.75 lakh. Full ERP-lite platforms or multi-tenant accounting products start around ₹4.75 lakh. We quote a fixed price once scope is agreed.

Should I build custom software or just use Tally, Zoho or QuickBooks?

If a standard package handles your process with minor workarounds, keep it. Custom work makes sense when staff spend hours each week re-entering data, when your billing model is unusual, or when you need a workflow those tools cannot support. Often the best answer is a small custom layer that feeds your existing accounting package.

Does the software support GST e-invoicing?

Yes. We integrate with the Invoice Registration Portal through an authorised GST Suvidha Provider to generate IRNs and signed QR codes, and can generate e-way bills too. The system validates GSTINs and HSN codes before submission to reduce rejections. Whether e-invoicing applies to you depends on your turnover; your CA can confirm that.

Can you integrate with Tally?

Yes. Tally integrations are usually done by generating vouchers and masters in Tally's XML format, either imported manually or posted automatically to a Tally instance on your network. Your accountant keeps working in Tally as usual while sales, receipts and expenses arrive from the new system with the correct ledgers.

We are based in the UK, US or Australia. Can you build for our tax rules?

Yes. We configure VAT, sales tax or GST rules for your jurisdiction and integrate with Xero or QuickBooks Online, which most accountants in those markets already use. For UK VAT submissions and similar filings, we recommend connecting through your accounting package rather than building direct filing, which keeps the compliance burden with a recognised provider.

How is financial data protected?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is controlled by role, and every create, edit or delete is recorded in an audit log. Closed periods can be locked. We design with the DPDP Act 2023 in India and GDPR or UK GDPR for European clients in mind, and back up data automatically.

Can you migrate our existing accounting data?

We migrate masters such as customers, vendors, items and ledgers, plus opening balances and open invoices, from Excel, Tally exports or other packages. Full transaction history can be migrated where the source data is clean. We reconcile totals after migration and run a parallel month before switching over.

Is RED SAG an accounting software development company in India? Do you work remotely?

Yes to both. We are a small in-house team in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, and our accounting software development services, from invoicing and reconciliation to full accounting products, are delivered remotely to clients across India and abroad, using video calls, screen sharing and a staging system you can log in to at any time. If you were looking for custom software development near me because you want to meet the team, clients in and around Tiruppur can meet us at our office in Arulpuram by appointment.

How do I choose a software company for finance work?

Lists of the top custom software development companies rarely tell you whether a team understands double-entry. Ask any company you shortlist to show you a ledger or invoicing system they have built, explain how they handle period locking and audit trails, and give you a fixed quote against a written scope. The best custom software development company for you is the one whose answers your accountant is happy with.

What does ongoing maintenance include?

Support plans cover bug fixes, updates for tax rule and rate changes, adjustments when Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks or Xero change their APIs, security patches and small enhancements each month. You choose a plan based on how often you expect changes.
