Point of sale

POS and GST Billing Software Built Around How Your Store Works

We build POS billing software for retail shops, restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies, with GST-compliant invoices, barcode scanning, inventory and reports that owners actually read. Instead of starting from zero, most projects begin with OverseePOS, the point-of-sale system we developed and maintain, and adapt it to your counters, products and workflows.

Off-the-shelf billing apps are fine until your business does something they did not expect: weighing scales, loose items, combo offers, table-wise KOTs, batch-wise medicine stock or a franchise with ten outlets. At that point you either change how you work or change the software. We help with the second option, at a price that makes sense for a small business.

Billing keeps working when the internet drops, and data syncs to the cloud once the connection returns.

Who it's for

Who POS & Billing is for

Retail and apparel stores

Garment, footwear, electronics and general stores that need size and colour variants, barcode labels, exchange handling and simple loyalty points.

Restaurants, cafes and cloud kitchens

Food businesses that need table management, KOT printing, split bills, modifiers, parcel orders and a clear view of daily sales by item and by waiter.

Supermarkets and pharmacies

Supermarket billing software has to keep up with busy counters, thousands of SKUs and weighing scales. Pharmacy billing software also needs batch and expiry tracking, schedule-drug records and fast repeat bills.

Chains, franchises and software resellers

Multi-outlet businesses that need central pricing and stock transfers, and companies that want a white-labelled POS to sell under their own brand.

What you get

Features we build

Fast counter billing

Barcode and keyboard-first billing, quick product search, hold and recall bills, multiple payment modes in one bill, and thermal or A4 printing. Cashiers can learn the screen in a single shift.

GST-ready invoices

HSN or SAC codes, CGST, SGST and IGST split by place of supply, composition scheme support, credit notes and GSTR-friendly exports. Where your turnover requires e-invoicing, we can connect to the IRP through a GST Suvidha Provider.

Inventory and purchases

Stock by location, purchase entries, supplier ledgers, reorder levels, stock transfers between outlets and physical stock audits. Pharmacies get batch, MRP and expiry tracking with near-expiry alerts.

Restaurant workflows

Table layouts, KOTs routed to the right kitchen printer, item modifiers, happy-hour pricing, captain ordering from a tablet and settlement by table, waiter or shift.

Offline-first with cloud sync

The billing counter stores data locally and syncs to a central server when online. A shaky connection or power cut does not stop sales, and owners still see live figures on their phone once things reconnect.

Payments and hardware

UPI QR on the bill or customer display, card terminal integration where the provider allows it, cash drawer triggers, label printers, weighing scales and barcode scanners.

Owner reports and mobile dashboard

Daily sales, item-wise margins, tax summaries, cashier-wise collections and slow-moving stock, available on a phone. Reports can be emailed each night so the owner never has to log in.

Customers and loyalty

Customer records, credit sales with due tracking, loyalty points, WhatsApp or SMS bill links and simple promotional messages to past buyers, with consent recorded.

How we work

From first call to launch

  1. 01

    Store walkthrough

We watch how billing, stock and closing happen today, through a visit in Tamil Nadu or a video call elsewhere, and list what the current system gets wrong.

  2. 02

    Fit-gap against OverseePOS

We show you OverseePOS, mark what already fits, and quote only for the changes you need. For unusual businesses we quote a fresh build instead.

  3. 03

    Customise and configure

We add your features, import products, set up tax rates, print formats and user roles, and connect your printers, scanners and payment QR.

  4. 04

    Parallel run and training

The new system runs alongside the old one for a few days so totals can be compared. Cashiers and managers get hands-on training.

  5. 05

    Go-live and support

We switch over at a quiet time, stay on call during the first busy days, and move to a support plan for updates and help.

Why RED SAG

Why teams choose us

We already run a POS product

OverseePOS gives you a tested base, so you pay for the parts that are specific to your business rather than for rebuilding a billing screen from scratch.

No per-counter licence trap

Custom builds come with source code and no per-device fees. For hosted setups, you know the yearly cost upfront.

Local support in Tamil Nadu

On-site setup and training can usually be arranged for stores near Tiruppur, Coimbatore and Erode. Everyone else gets remote setup and direct phone and WhatsApp access to the team.

Honest advice

If a standard billing app already fits your shop, we will say so. Custom work only makes sense when it saves you time or money every day.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does custom POS billing software cost?

For a single store using OverseePOS with light customisation, expect around ₹25,000 to ₹90,000 (about $400–1,350). Multi-outlet setups with restaurant or pharmacy features usually cost ₹90,000–2.5 lakh. A fully custom or white-label POS starts around ₹2.5 lakh. Hardware such as printers and scanners is extra, and we can suggest models that work well.

Is the billing software GST compliant?

Invoices include GSTIN, HSN or SAC codes, and the correct CGST, SGST or IGST split, with credit notes and exports that make GST return filing easier. If your turnover crosses the e-invoicing threshold, we integrate IRP e-invoice generation through a GST Suvidha Provider so the IRN and QR code print on the bill. If you are unsure what e-invoice in GST means: B2B invoices are registered on the government's Invoice Registration Portal, which returns that IRN and a signed QR code. Your accountant still files returns.

Will billing work without internet?

Yes. The counter application stores bills locally and keeps working during outages. When the connection returns, data syncs to the cloud, and the owner dashboard updates. Features that genuinely need the internet, such as e-invoice generation or online payment confirmation, queue up and complete once you are back online.

Can you move my data from my current billing software?

In most cases, yes. We import products, customers, suppliers and opening stock from Excel or CSV exports of your existing software, including common Indian billing tools. Historical bills can usually be imported for reference. We check totals after import so you start with clean numbers.

Which hardware does the POS support?

Standard thermal receipt printers (58mm and 80mm), A4 printers, USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners, label printers, cash drawers, customer displays and many weighing scales. Card terminals depend on the bank or provider offering an integration. Tell us what you already own and we will confirm compatibility before quoting.

Can I use this POS for a shop outside India?

Yes. The tax engine can be configured for VAT or sales tax instead of GST, with local currency and receipt formats, and payments can run through Stripe or Square-style providers. Small businesses in the UK, Australia, Canada and elsewhere use remote setup and support from our team during their business hours where possible.

Who owns the software and data?

Your business data is always yours and can be exported at any time. For fully custom builds, you also get the complete source code. When we customise OverseePOS, the licence terms for your version, including an optional source-code buyout, are agreed in writing before work starts, so there are no surprises later.

What support do I get after going live?

We stay closely involved for the first busy days after switching over. After that, annual support plans cover bug fixes, updates for GST rule changes, backups monitoring and help on phone or WhatsApp during working hours. Extended-hours support for late-closing restaurants is available as a paid option.
